First Aid training for CJC students

Last Thursday, St John’s Ambulance visited CJC to teach our students about the importance of first aid.  Through an age-appropriate program, they provided the children with skills on what to do in the event of an emergency.

Some of our Prep A class children shared what they learned:

“When someone is going down on the floor, we talk to them and if they don’t answer we need to press on their shoulders.  If they don’t reply again we should call 000” – Raizel

“We learned about dangers” – Paravi

“We learned about how to save people when they fall over and they don’t reply when we squeeze their shoulders.  We call 000 and they will come” – Ness

“We learned that the dangerous stuff should be put away in the kitchen so nobody gets hurt” – Lielle
