Come and Celebrate Diwali at CJC


Friday 20th October


3:45pm - 7:00pm with an Official Welcome at 5pm


Enjoy a spring evening with fellow CJC families and teachers in a whole school celebration.

Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy activities including:


  • Bollywood Dancing
  • Henna Tattoos
  • Indian Treats
  • Rangoli Art
  • Lantern lighting ceremony 

Friday 20th October is Diwali Dress up - Students can wear bright coloured or Indian inspired clothes.


For all students in after school care, camp Australia will participate in this event and parents can join in when they collect their child. 


Diwali - is the Hindu festival of lights celebrated every year in Spring. It is one of the most popular Indian festivals that spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. The celebration includes lighting lanterns and candles around the home and community.
